Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Tallahassee, FL

In January of 2011 BCI Integrated Solutions finished an impressive audio video system in Tallahassee, at the Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU). This project was outfitted with the latest in audio and video technology to create a spectacular theatrical hall.

This state-of-the-art system was designed specifically for the needs of the university by TSG Design Solutions, Inc. and fully integrated by BCI Integrated Solutions. This project was a picture perfect xample of an experienced integrators ability to collaborate and facilitate. BCI worked with multiple trades to ensure the project stayed on schedule and on budget.

BCI chose a Meyer Sound system for their pristine sound qualities and the universities unique facility. The speakers were suspended in a center, left, right fashion for optimal performance which gave the operator amazing flexibility over each events individual needs.

This system has a total of 48 audio inputs which are being controlled by a Yamaha PM5D digital mixing console. This Yamaha mixing console allows for unique presets to help eliminate significant amounts of tuning before each show. The PM5D also has a password lock to ensure all stored setting s and levels cannot be tampered with by unauthorized users. For optimal voice recognition and clarity a total of 12 Sennheiser wireless microphones were installed. The projection system features a 10,000 lumen Christie projector. This projector was specified for
Christie’s brilliant color and industry leading clarity.
